GRV is seeking feedback on proposed Greyhounds Australasia (GA) National Rules and Greyhound Racing Victoria (GRV) Local Rules.
Proposed National Rules amendments

- New minimum age at which a greyhound may compete (adopts GRV local rule position) and new maximum age
- New mandatory stand down period following a fall in an Event or satisfactory trial
- Amendment to rules relating to registration of sires (process correction)
- Amendments relating to the cessation of greyhound racing in New Zealand
Proposed Local Rules amendments

- New minimum registration period required prior to being eligible to be a breeder.
- New and amended rules to ensure persons do not provide false or misleading information at any time in relation to the industry.
- An amended rule to support GRV in the pursuit of debts accrued by persons due to a breach of the rules.
- Amendments to reclassify specific Serious Offences as General Offences to enable these offences to be heard and determined by the Stewards.
- New and amended rules clarifying the position on registered persons residing at the premises, and the use of Greyhound Properties, of persons who have engaged in certain conduct.
- Clarification of Warning Off and application of rules
- Amendments to Preferential Box Draw rules to enable Isolynx data to be used for box draw allocations and create more Identified Traits for greyhounds.
- Removing or amending rules pertaining to the registration of Greyhound Trial Tracks and other miscellaneous amendments to correct technical and drafting errors.
