In considering an exemption application, GRV will take into account the female greyhound’s history and health, the success of previous litters whelped and details of any special circumstances. GRV will also carefully review the veterinarian’s assessment of the health and wellbeing of the female greyhound and how these impact on her ability to breed a litter.
GRV will endeavour to notify an applicant of the outcome of an exemption application within 14 working days of the application being received.
Where approval is granted by GRV, approval will be granted for one (1) additional service/insemination only per approved exemption request, irrespective of the result of said service/ insemination and will be effective for a period of 120 days from the date of issue of the breeding health and fitness certificate.
If an application is rejected and the applicant wishes to object, written notice of the objection and reasons should be provided
By email to [email protected]
