A cluster of liver disease and deaths in dogs in the Gippsland region is currently under investigation.
Primesafe reports that horse meat processed as dog food by the Maffra District Knackery in Boisdale is emerging as the focus of the investigation.
Please be advised not to feed your dogs with any fresh or frozen raw pet meat sourced from Maffra District Knackery between 31 May and 3 July.
If you are unsure where your pet meat came from, check with your supplier about where they sourced it.
If any of your previously healthy dogs are showing concerning signs such as sudden loss of appetite, lethargy or jaundice, please contact your veterinarian immediately and notify GRV.
